Mechanical, Engines, Repower & Running
Whether you have a power boat or sailing boat, the need to maintain your mechanical systems and running gear is crucial, because in the marine environment, moisture and electrolysis is only one step behind you and your maintenance. The first time you turn the key your wear and tear starts and only with diligent maintenance can you prolong the life of your power, drive-train and associated running gear.
Island Marine Inc. can help you replace, align, service, re-power
and maintain or engineer and install all the associated components
that support these systems to keep your boat running at optimum
performance. We have installed from the smallest outboard
motors on dinghies to small auxiliary diesels and generators on
sailboats to main propulsion engines on large yachts.
We will also make sure that all the support components are adequate for your needs and we can fabricate new engine beds, shafting, support bearings, struts or whatever may be required to complete the scope of work. All components will then be sea trialed for factory warranty purposes.
